having some problems with identifying this particular sensor on my intake manifold, its screwed into the left side on the top its above the map sensor and to the left of the IAT sensor. a small black cylinder is broken off the top of it, its got two vacuum hoses on it and one electrical connector. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

 

EVAP solenoid valve?? That one would have one hose going to the manifold, the other hose going to the EVAP charcoal canister below the battery.

#8 is the one I'm thinking of.

yeah #8 is it and im missing #6 that goes on top of it. it broke off anyway thanks again P.S is that part expensive?

 

The top hose nipple wants to be open to the air. That little cap #6 is just a vent so crud doesn't fall inside. It's not even a filter & doesn't seem to do anything else. It just slips down over the hose nipple, & I bet it's pretty cheap even at a dealer. Or just use a couple inches of vacuum hose doubled over so it points downwards.
