I think this belongs in here. Question about tires. take a sec please.
I purchased some rims and tires from Wallee from Machiii.net and got them this weekend. Well, i put the wheels on the car and drove home. on the way home i noticed a bad vibration at about 60-70 mph. You can feel it through out the entire car, and your ***, and your feet, but not necessarily directly in the steering wheel. On the way home, i stopped off and had the tires rebalanced. They balanced out fine and i drove back on to the freeway.. Problem is still there. Could this just be a case of a shitty tire?? I put a few miles on the tires already. What can i expect from the people i bought them from?? Can they waranty them for some new ones, or since they have some miles on them, im just screwed?
Any suggestions? Next time i wont skimp and save a few bucks and get the cheapy tires...

What size are the tires? This may sound weird, but it may just need drive time. I have experinced this myself. Felt like tires out of balance; rebalance and no difference. Drove about 3-400 miles and smoothed right out
There is another area in the wheel and tire department known as RFV (Road Force Variation) basically the overall roundness of the wheel and tire assembly. The assembly can be in balance yet have a RFV level that can cause different orders of vibrations. Most high end tire and wheel shops will have a machine that can measure this and "match" your tires and wheels to minimize vibrations in this area.

Could be a defect in the tire. Sometimes the plies of material in the tire separate.
If they are lugcentric wheels, check and make sure the lugnuts are torqued properly @ 80 ft*lbs each. When the mounting place put my Rotas on with air tools, they overtorqued the lugs and I had BAD vibration on the highway until I retorqued them at home.
If the tire is starting to come apart, the tech should have noticed this when they were rebalanced.
I would bet the wheel is not centered on the hub or a wheel bearing is causing the problem. Do you have a second set of wheels to try- this will point to a wheel or tire issue or a car issue.

Well, i put new tires on and it solved the problem.. It was just some shitty federal tires.. Brand new, but road like ****..

i've gotten brand new tires (granted they were shitty tires but still new) that were just not round. Had them replaced and the vibration went away. If I remember correctly the vibration would only happen at certain speeds. Not above or below but a small range. Alignment was ruled out because it was done when the tires were mounted. Had the wheels rebalanced and nothing fixed it. After some arguing they put on new tires and the problem was gone.

Are the wheels "Hub Centric"? If not did you use/were provided the correct hubs?
Anyways move this to the tech forum.
