Default signs of a failing vtec solenoid maybe?

are these signs of a stupid car or a failin vtec solenoid. this is the 2nd time this has happend in the past 2 months. i'll get a check engine light for a code 22 i believe it is...malfunctioning vtec system. i unplug the plugs on the vtec solenoid, clean them out, reset the computer and memory and presto...i have vtec again and no more code. is my solenoid faling or are my plugs just gettin that dirty that fast?

code 22 is VTEC pressure valve, not solenoid.
check your oil level, or if not your oil pressure switch is going bad

well, if your oil pressure is fine, then its most likely your vtec pressure switch.
vtec needs 60+ psi to work properly

hmmm, now would be a good time to get my oil pressure gauge hooked up the rest of the way

where did u get this info?
when i check oil pressure to the head 4 vtec i know its under 60psi but don t remember the exact number i think it was 48 or so.
if u check 4 flow (the plug in front on top of the headers)
its only about 25psi when vtec is engage

the plug by the vtec sol. is to test vtec oil pressure.
at 5k rpms +, pressure should be 60 or more psi(with vtec engaged)
if you check that when vtec is disengaged you should get a low reading but not below 7psi.
