4th & 5th gen left upper control arm interchangeable?
Just like the title says, I need to know if I can use a 4th gen left (drivers side) upper control arm on a 5th gen? My balljoint came completely up from the control arm from the arm hitting on the inside lip of my fender, since I lowered my cord. I was planning on either cutting or rolling the fender lip to keep the upper control arm from hitting in order to have my camber kit set right. But then after about a week of hitting, the ball joint just completely popped up and now I can't find any replacement arms here in town; except for a friend who has a spare 4th gen upper arm. Everything else would have to be a 3-4 day order.
being that all other susp. parts are interchangeable, you can only deduce that itll work....in the worse case, the fitment might not be 100%, but at least youll have a drivable car for a few days
Honda only sells the UCA with the balljoint and not separately. Even if you manage to get a "generic" balljoint, having it pressed into the arm could distort it and make it "not true" anymore.
You might wanna try a slavageyard or junkyard and pull the UCA you need.
Or you could order it from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ or http://www.secureleadercom.com...e.asp
HTH you.
