meet the newbie
Hey Guys,
Say hello to a new itr owner (#00-1117).
Also, I can't get the check engine light to go out. After the tech cleared it, it came right back on. The code says the catalytic converter insn't working, but I know the previous owner had recently installed a new converter when he put a header on the engine. I figure it's one of the O2 sensors. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Enjoy her and welcome to the forums.
Hey, its your second 02 sensor. A bad cat will cause a cel 67. If you have a highflow cat, or test pipe, there are a few tricks to solve the cel. You can wrap it in aluminum foil, or there's a way to wire it up with some basic stuff from radio shack. If your stock cat is bad, then you may need a new one, or just a new 02 sensor. Good luck, search will yield further help on this subject.
