I know someone w/ the Jun head and ECU that CAN, but she doesn't because it just doesn't make any power up there.

Yes, the Jun cams help, but there's still no point. It stops making power before then, and revving it any higher is just stressing your motor out and making you slower.

You need some BIGASS cams and some good portwork to make power up that high.

I can rev my all-motor built h22 to about 8300 rpms, i used to when racing, but there isnt much point, even on the dyno i have found i dont make any more hp after about 7700-7800 rpm, so about 7900-8000 is where i shift when racing...

well ive had 2 h22s, and my first one would pull HARD from vtec engagement until 8200 rpms. The ecu was chipped with spoon specs. Stock block and head. fuel cut at 8700

that would be ridiculous. the h22 simply isn't designed like a b series motor is. It doesn't make that much power up top. It's great for mid range and the low range is pretty good too but anything past 7200 is a waste as you'd probably blow your oil pump or heat up your cylinder walls too much.

why? Would be useless unless you ran a race car and boost.

what ever happened to the 8000 RPM crank crack. i seem to remember that being the magical number for snapping cranks a year or two ago.

Bounced mine off the 8500 rev limiter twice and no problems. *crosses fingers*

I have taken mine to 8 before and it really doesn't gain that much more power. I would like to find a cheap alternative to getting rid of my JDM 120mph Fuel cut off!!!? Any suggestions other than rev speed meters and expensive electronics? Any hard wiring suggestions to trick the ECU or anything?

CBR600rr goes to 15,000 rpm. I would love to see footage of the aftermath of an H22 hitting 15Krpm. lol

My jun cams make power up to 8K plus, i just choose not to take it any higher because i got a stock bottom end. We dynoed and cut all 11 of my runs off at 8K - 8300K The car pulls like no other, and just waiting to get my skunk 2 mani on (i really want to dyno this damn thing) and fix my CYP.

Im running Gude cams that are capable of 8600 rpms...but i shift at the stock vtec redline....there is not much of a power gain after that.

I have a chiped ECU with rev limiter at 8200rpm.

The engine pulls well untill 7800rpm, over it's useless to go.
I just get over that point in the first gears to get to good power point after I shift.

Sounds expensive. And from the dynos I have seen you can do just as well from a set of Crower stage 2's which are a couple hundred cheaper.

My motor is a Jdm H22A with a stock block; Jun cams+valvetrain, Prospeed header and mine keeps making power at my 8411rpm cutoff. Always rev it up past 8k rpms on the street, no problems in over 3 yrs revving up that high. Here's a dyno...... I know most of you are gonna try and flame me with my dyno results, like what mods i have and blah-blah, but here goes
