most powerful b20a5?
hmm... I have a b20a5 ---> For the most part = stock.
Check http://www.preludepower.com --- some of those guys might have more power.
Honestly - b20a5 isn't worth building. Some people are swapping h22 or jdm b20

well theres a few people i have seen 1 i know personally he makes about 300 whp and another person on the internet he makes about 280whp me i dynoed untuned on 8psi and i made 205whp im now on 12psi with more mods and will be tuned shortly im expecting around 250whp.. look around on preludepower,com...b20a dosent have the best rod ratio but its a torqey lil ****** i can tell ya that
heard many people say that .. but I think to reach 300 hp it's worth it, if you do everything by your self..
I was looking at the head with a very experienced racemechanic and i must say that tha head is really nice specially on the intake side. (lika most hondas)
i think the reason many dont recommend the b20 is cause it don't rev so high ( rod/ratio and so on), just because hondas "should" be high rpm engines..
the engine have been raced in formel 3000 so it cant be totally worthless.
It would be nice to see a monster b20a

Depending on who you ask, the h22 is a hard/expensive swap, the JDM B20 isnt drasticlly different from the JDM.
If your b20a5 has good compression its not worth swaping for a JDM one.

I agree, i think the b20a5 has potential, at least i'm gonna try!

Just for future reference... Toofastsiprelude on http://www.preludepower.com took the b21a1 single-runner intake manifold and ported and polished the runners and plenum. Then he bored out the throttle body to 60mm and added a 3/4" throttle body spacer and those mods dynoed at an amazing 18whp and 21lbs/ft of torque at the wheels - just from intake modding. Keep in mind this is a stock engine, just a modded intake manifold, throttle body, and spacer. That's amazing to say the least and I think it says something about how restricted it is and it seems to give hope to 3rd gen luders. And a DC header and downpipe adds, on average, 10-14whp!!! So think about that for a while, add those mods together, play with ignition and cam timing a little - add a bit more fuel to the mix and see what happens. I bet it wouldn't be disappointing
