at the time i removed the resonater box there were lots of posts about other people doing it and about the gains they got.
but since then ive read alot of posts about people not being happy with the lose of low end torque.

i just wanted to know peoples opinions on it.

Lots of speculation and no dyno proof
i was driving around with only the air filter duck taped to the top of my type-S intake arm for a while and noticed a big improvement over my AEM cai.. then i finally put on the resonator box and felt a loss in power all around. who knows?

butt dynos are easily tricked by sound. i have tried it both ways too, but there's not much difference. doubt anyone would waste money on dyno testing this theory tho.

I used to own an S2000, and that was/is a popular mod. However, on the S2000, you lost horse power (I don't have any figures, but I could feel the loss of perfomance), due to the fact that the intake was pulling in the hot, thin air from the engine.

It does sound very good, a de-boxed S2000 in a tunnel at 8700 rpm will scare the crap out of anyone!!! That induction roar is addictive. It's more of a psychological thing. The car sounds louder and beefier, therefore it must be faster and more powerful. On my S2000 removing the box made it drink more fuel (fact not psychologic - but then when it comes to cars costing more, it's always real).

However, I'm just starting to learn about the lude, so I don't know what affect this will have on a lude S. I hope this helps in some way.
