Default 2003 Accord AEM CAI installed

Hey guys, a friend of mine and me have installed the AEM CAI that I got off eBay, but since I have had bad experiences with intake installs (maybe the intake and the car dying was unrelated with my older jetta), I'd like to make sure everything is how it's supposed to be. Anything I should check or be especially concerned about? Thanks

For comparison, here's the picture of the stock intake:

umm...the install looks good to me. Have you actually driven the car to see if there were any problems?

well, so far it sounds very good. It sounds normal until I accelerate, and then it turns into a growl, garrrrrrrrrr. I didn't expect the sound to be that cool, it feels like i'm driving something more powerful than what I had before. I can hear the sssssssss, sucking and there's a small pop when I turn off the engine. I haven't had any troubles but u never know...

haha! yeah, i did. i sold it for $4200 last august, it was a 1995 jetta gls 4cyl 4dr POS. the girl i sold it to was the dumbest buyer i've ever seen. Her mom and she met with me, made ME drive it around the block, never popped the trunk, hood, or anything, never went to any mechanics, paid me $4200 direct transfer to my bank account and I never saw or heard of them after. Then i bought the 03 accord, thank god, never going to VW again!

Ended up buying one of these babies (the cheapest for this item on eBay, was shipped the next day). It was not CAI but it's still pretty good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

not CAI, right? wrong! lol

Check this out!!

I bid on an AEM short ram intake, and have bought it for the cheapest price I've seen anywhere. It gets better: the model number for it is 22-511. So I opened the box that came today, and what do I see? 21-511!! which happens to be a CAI. MSRP difference between CAI and short ram is $70-80, and I got it for the same price as short ram cause the model #s look so close.

P.S. Order from that guy on eBay, maybe he won't notice the model # difference again...
