Default HOW MUCH IS TO MUCH?

i got a price quote from a local muffler shop for a custom job with 2.5 pipeing and high flow cat, they said that they could do it for 300 bucks. Now to me that sound pretty steap for a bent pipe and some welds. What do u think?

It's high but not outrageous. Figure about $180 for a good cat. $70 for the piping
I'd have to pay $250 for that job out here.

try like 125 for a good aftermarket cat, 75-100 in piping, and all the mocking up and removal installing involved. i hate how you people think everything is so cheap. if you cant do it yourself then dont expect it to be cheap. thats the point of labor charges. becasue if everyone could do somthing. one's trade wouldnt be worth anything

I would never pay 250 for a custom bent system. I picked up my Greddy exhaust used for 225, and a test pipe for 30 bucks...

calm down... the guys was merely inquiring upon whether it was a good deal or not. he wasnt bitching at all...

as for the price, i wouldnt do that. it does seem a bit pricey. definatley check out http://www.kteller.com i heard hes a good guy to deal with and im going through him for my exhaust when i save up enough for it. welding does kinda get pricey though. i mean, sure you could probably try to do it yourself, but itll probably just be shitty as hell (no offense, but its not something for a noob).

i personally have never had a problem paying a bit extra though if i feel the person is really good at it and is good quality stuff (ie. stainless steel).

even ktellers is 215 for a stainless piping kit. add a cat onto there, and welding and youre over that 300 already. plus install.
