hey all, my crx project is finally coming to a close and i'm planing on tracking it at the Speedtrails HPDE on the 25th. I've already got a few new bottles of ATE Super Blue and i'm thinking of just rocking the autozone "performance" ceramatalic pads (short on funds). The car is a 90 CRX HF with Teg front brakes and new rotors. I really dont have time to wait for a set of Axxis Metal Masters to come in so thats why i'm leaning tward the autozone pads. Thanks for the coments ppl

I don't know what track you're on, but I would be surprised if those pads hold up for an entire day unless you are willing to really, really take it easy. If the event is on the 25th, there's plenty of time to order pads. As for what brands to use, I'm personally moving back to the Carbotech XP10's this month. There's a lot of info in the RR/AX forum if you search for it. Here's a start:

You can get prices for the Carbotech stuff here:
http://www.carbotecheng.com/main-products.htm (and there's a 10% HT discount so mention that if you order).
I have also had good experience with Cobalt Friction: http://www.cobaltfriction.com/...t.htm
Never used Hawk Blues personally but I know people who like them. Seriously tons of info in those threads above.
They're all going to be expensive compared to autozone pads, but they will last you many, many HPDE's in such a light car which will save you money compared to running the risk of not finishing an expensive track day just because you have cheap pads.
