There is a very good possibility of purchasing a DC2R in the next few days or so... However I have one question.. as the topic states, what has better resale on a DC2R? Championship White or Black?
Edit: Thanks for all you replies guys, but after seventeen posts, still nobody has told me what they think has better resale - Black or White? Its a pretty simple question, no?
As I dont reside in America, I do not have the contraints of colour and year placed on me. I am also not interested in PY or MR
I'll echo what I said in later posts:
All else being equal, what will have better resale? Black, or White?
Thanks again
P.S - Pleease answer the question

If you're in Melbourne, VIC - ie, Australia as I think you are... I'd go with the CW just because it's nicer. That'd be my choice after Racing Yellow. As far as resale goes, I don't think it's going to make a difference as there aren't too many Rs around in general.
Usually the price correlation is a determinant of the year/age.
I'd figure that PY has the lowest resale. I turned a few down after thinking about the attention they draw. Sorry RStoR.

py>cw, cw is old now, everybody paints everything cw from regular integras to civics to crx's to preludes
unless its a clean boner stock cw i would go with a diff color

I'm talking everything else being equal - km's, year, condition, etc.
and yes, I'm in Melbourne
Australians dont have the 'honda bug'
- normal integras, etc. usually remain pretty standard and CW is reserved for those cars who had that colour as factory, as is black.
There is no PY itr on the cards, although I think it looks better than black
My preferences are in this order
CW
PY
NBP
MR
I prefer CW, but have been offered a very low KM '00 model NBP for a very good price, and the final point being made to me as to why i should buy it is because it will be able to be sold more easily, as 'black sells'. btw, This is genuine advice from a personal freind who is a car dealer, not pure marketese

well the Black and yellow were newer models so if they are the same mileage, condition, etc.. as a CW one, the black one will be worth more simply due to model year

You might want to update your profile under State put Australia or something like that to make it easier for people.

You've got to remember virtually everyone on here is from the US. There, they DO have specific colours for different year models. However, we only got the R from November '99 to March '02 in the colours you listed.
Model year 2000-2002:
Championship White
Racing Yellow / Sunlight Yellow / Indy Yellow (?) = Y56
Milano Red
Black (forgot the title
)
Differences between model years - Yellow with yellow seats at the end. I think black might've had red seats too but don't quote me on that.

Ain't that the truth...
A friend of mine had a PY Type R and everybody and their grandma wanted a piece of him. Thieves, cops, ricers, you name it. Once they saw a PY Type R come around they all wanted to mess with him.
But Type R's in general usually have a very high resale value being that they are limited production cars with great specs. (Of course like somebody else stated earlier, it still comes down to mileage and condition of the car.)
