Default ANTENNA REMOVAL

I know how to replace the mast on my 5th gen, but i cant get the outer nut off the antenna unit.
Does it turn clockwise or counter clockwise ??
I tried to use a flat screwdriver to loosen the nut but dont budge. Is there a tool i can but to remove it ??

You could take a flat hed screwdriver and place it into the notches that are on top of the nut that needs to come off. Tap the screwdriver with a rubber mallet to get it loose and keep going all the way around it until it comes off.

When you replace the mast and are all set to put the nut back on - coat the threads with either antiseize or vaseline - will keep the threads from rusting up and getting stuck in the future.

Order your special "antenna socket" at any HONDA or ACURA dealer for around $10.....i bought mine a while back...or you can go to any snap-on truck and ask for one.
