Default AEM EMS and UEGO wideband question

Currently my EMS is not receiving a feedback signal from the wideband because the output wire from the UEGO is not wired into the ECU. I know exactly which pin it needs to be connected to but I'm hesitant to cut the wire since its the stock primary O2 wire (D7). Is there another way around it? Like depinning?

You can depin if you like, or just cut the wire and wire it to that

I guess I'll just solder the connection.

if you have the non guage type make sure to get power and ground from the battery, a bad ground will really skew the output

Are you hooking the wideband up to the EMS or the stock ECU?

On an OBD1 ECU I believe its pin D14. I don't know that much about Hondata so you may want to double check to make sure. If you are hooking up the analog 5V out from the UEGO gauge to the ECU you might have to rescale the voltage map for Hondata.

i personally went about it by having a old o2 sensor harness, spliced into it from there. when and if i need to go back to stock, all i have to do is unplug it. stock o2 harness u can use the power and signal, but the ground......best bet is to use the battery. i also used barrel connectors on many things and they have worked like a charm.

When hooking up the gauge analog output signal to the ecu d14 oxygen sensor, is this acceptable if your running an extra bung for the uego.
Do I hook it up to D7 or D14?????
Im going to make a new thread for hopeful better responses

When you hook it to the O2 signal you just tap it you don't cut the primary out wire do you?

I guess you can tap but the AEM UEGO is very picky about resistance and voltage fluctuations so I just cut and soldered the connection to be safe. No big deal. I would have preferred not to cut anything but too late now.

If your car is OBD2 like mine the 5V output from the Wideband would go into pin D7 into your standalone. I wouldn't recommend tapping the 5V output into a stock ECU.
