u can cut cost by haveing a friend that knows what hes talking about call and have work done by different shops.

u can have the pistons install to the rods 4 30 if u take that in by itself first

then take the block appart and take the crank in and have then balance then and have then plastic gauge it 4 $200

then u can take the pistons with the connecting rods in and have another shop hone the cylinders and gap the rings 4 about 60-80

Damn; don't look for the cheapest place you can find!!!!

Ask people in your area where they would recommend (don't even talk about cost at this point).

Then go by the shops (check out several) and talk to them about the cost. The big thing here isn't really about getting a price, but to see how the shop is run and what type of equipment they have! Are they working on the floor putting stuff together, or do they have a clean work space. Do they have a press, or do they just hammer in wrist pins? Are items that are waiting to be worked on clearly tagged as to who they belong too and what work is to be done on them. Are there "work orders" pressent or do they just do it on the fly?

You have a sizable amount of money spent on parts and a "cheap" shop could damage them. And to make it worse, they could damage them in a way that they don't break until you have the motor running, and it trashes the whole thing.

Take the time to save up the money to have a good shop do the work!!!!!!!
