Question about the acronym CRX
According to one source I found on the web, CRX stands for Civic Renaissance, model X. Dont know if that's true or not though.

the hyphenated version CR-X is JDM and UKDM. EDM and CDM (canadian) is CRX like the US. i've heard all of the mentioned abbreviations for what CRX stands for. when i searched for it a while back, the Civic Renaissance Model-X one came up most often.

Hence the dash in the name... CR-X. (In the US, there was no advertisement for what the Acronym meant, and because it was a confusing blurb/hyperbole phrase thought up in Suzuka... That's why they dropped the dash)
Civic Rennaisance-X.
Hence the CR-V, Civic Rennaissance model Van. Straight out of a JDM Brochure that my buddy picked up while he's living in Japan. He thought it was cool, so he bought it for me for like 20 yen.
Trust me on this guys.

Wow, looks like we're 50/50 on the Civic Rennaisance Model - X and Experiment. I think X model sounds more official. I don't know if Honda would market an "experiment" and even if they did, I don't think they'd use an X to represent it. Hmmmmm
