Type R: Finally Got It Home! (56K be warned)
It was a long and very trying trip. Finally, yesterday afternoon (Wednesday the 8th) around 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time, I rolled 1997 ITR #122 into the drive way after a 3,784 mile road trip that all started at the house of a super cool guy named Len, who is located in the Atlanta Georgia area.
In the next couple days I should have everything posted. I kept a log of every day of the trip, along with tons of pictures and write-up/evaluations on installs and removals. Also included in my write up will be how many cops I saw, how many pulled me over and what for, how many miles I drove a day, people I met along the way, car wrecks, road kill, chicks...etc. Stay tuned!
Here are some pictures that most of you are familiar with:
#122 getting a thorough cleaning from Len and his older brother.

More Cleaning....with Len's brothers 97 in the background.

More Cleaning....

More Cleaning....that's a blury shot of Len's older brother.

More Cleaning....with the setting Georgia sun

This is a picture after the install of the Buddy Club coilovers. (Will have a full write up about this product shortly)

Another shot with the Buddy Club's installed

Shot of the R with the Buddy Club coilovers and the Mugen wing (authentic) installed.

Picture of the R in the setting Phoenix sun with the stock suspension back on it.

A picture of what I think of the California gas prices!

Hope you all enjoy the pictures. Like I said, there will be a full write up of the trip along with dyno charts, install write ups, and a full write up of the Full Race Stage 3 kit that I have sitting behind me.
Stay Tuned!

you bought the 97???!!!! damn you lucky bastard! and you brang it to hawaii??? Looks like you wrote you drove 3,000 miles to somewhere else. Ship it here! Awww!!!! you lucky son of a, you own my dream car! One day man, one day I will own a 97 to rebuild but until then I will drool over yours. Just gimmie a few years I'll have one... hopefully. Anyway congrats
. Maybe I'll get to see the car I so desperately want just cruising down the road. I can stand there and admire the beauty of the car in a McDonald's parking lot.
Oh and yeah, hawaii's gas prices really suck compared to the mainland, cali is supposed to be expensive too. I got a car that just sips gas though heh. My ghetto yoto saves me money.
Wait wait wait, I read your title again, got it home??? Damnit don't you live on the north shore on oahu??
