Default Will b18c1 with ITR pistons be safe using the Stock ECU?

I'm planning on having ITR slugs put into my b18c1 motor but I won't be doing any tuning for awhile until I get everything I plan on putting on it (skunk2 IM, cams, valves, etc)...question is....will my AF ratio be safe (i'm going to be using an OBD2 p72)? Thanks H-T!

Yes it will. Many have done more than this with stock ECU...

It should be fine. I am running a p72 ecu with a itr head, pistons, throttle body, and intake manifold on my b18c1. It still stays on the rich side under WOT.

If you plan on adding bigger cams and related parts in the near future I would highly suggest going with some JDM ITR slugs for a bit more compression that would still be safe on your stock ecu for now but would yield better results when you add cams etc. Just my $.02

yea I'm just trying to plan ahead because the slugs are coming out because the shop is doing a mild rebuild (rings and bore/hone) and I figured I might as well get ITR slugs so in the future when I do decide to get the cams and valvetrain...i'll be set...I have a hondata stage2b from my old turbo setup that I'll be using to tune in the future...

I'm running the stock P72, but also am waiting on getting the ECU socketed. You'll definitely want it done once you get the skunk2 IM and cams, you'll notice a difference.
