vtec controller a waste of money also if you cra has hardly any mods. its mainly for tuning of racing cars really. i would go with some suspension stuff instead.. thats my 2 cents

Venom 400 only good if you have an automatic, just what I've heard and it seems to be consistent and it makes sense.

Why's it good for autos? I heard all it does is trick the ECU into thinking that throttle position is at full throttle all the time. It actually ***** up the auto tranny's shifting.

I beleive it helps w/ the initial acceleration lag that we autos have to deal with. I think it's more of a helper to get you going early, supposed to help the torque. I could be talking out of my ***, tends to happen often, just ask people who own them and read the information that venom has on their website.

I was reading one of my old honda tuning mags and saw a real dyno they did using the Venom 400 on an automatic gsr.

They were able to reduce the 40-60mph from 5.7 to 3.7

impressive!

Currently I just got the 400. As said before, it works well itself but is better with additional mods. I got a new fuel rail, MSD 6A, Wires and Plugs. Since the module has a switch, I tested it without any mods, then with my mods. Saw a big *** difference at 1K-4K RPM and 30-55mph. I must agree its worth it with the auto tranny!

It costs around $300 bucks, visit their website for a little more information on what it is and what it does.

dont get a vtec controler for a shoc.. the controler gives you the power to control the second cam in a dohc. in a vtec dhoc when the cars rpms hits a certain point it kicks in the second cam the controler lets you get your rpms higher before the second one kicks in. so getting the controler for a sohc will only help with gas.

well yeah one cam would be mainly exhuast wouldnt it
original VTEC motors are simply that difference in the exhuast cam
or so i thought but both cams are always turning you made it sound as if one came dosent work fdr awhile or someshit.

My neighbor got one @ http://www.coximport.com He has a 94 Accord auto. You can DAMN sure tell the difference. It has an on/off switch. It seems to make the shift points higher , and I could tell bottom end performance. For $300.00 you are not going to get a turbo, but definately worth the $
