How to set distributor to sixteen degrees?

Default How to set distributor to sixteen degrees?

How would I know if my distributor is set at 16 degrees? how do i set it? are there marks on the distributor? if so, i dont see them.

You'll need a timing light. Simply aim the light at the crank pulley and adjust the distributor until the correct timing mark lines up with the indicator. The mark you use will depend upon whether you're using a standard timing light or an adjustable one.
