Default si vs dx tranny

I ran a 15.1 on my nx powered d15b2 with dx tranny my trap speed was 89.3. how much do you guys think i could shave by switching to a si tranny?

Not much, probably a tenth? All the gears from 1-5 are the same on the SI tranny except the final drive is a bit different. Hope that helps.

Your going from a 3.888 FD to a 4.25, I don't how much time you would shave, but you would definately be faster than the dx ever could. I think its worth spending the $100-200 for the increase.

Way more then a tenth, I shaved about .5 off my time by switching to a Si from a DX.

i couldnt tell a whole lot of difference when i switched except on the highway where my rpms were alot higher

holy eff dood.....did you mean the 4 speed STD tranny..? you will knock like half a second or more off..i did that swap, and consider a MPFI swap....you will love it!!

thanks guys, i bought an si tranny (well atleast thats what the place said) and when i put it in the car i realized it was a 4spd. by then i had lost my reciept and i didnt have the time our space to take out the tranny again so now i have 2 4spd trannys, but my track time sucks and my homie said its the tranny thats killin the time. we have an 1/8th mile down here and i dont even get out of 2nd
