Default hard time restarting b18c5

Hey guys I am having a hard time starting my gsr to itr conversion when it is hot. It usally happens if I go into the store and come back out to start it. My setup is a b18c1 block with a itr intake manifold/throttlebody/ and head. The ecu is a obd1 p72. I am not throwing any nodes.

I can think of one thing that might cause the problem. I am using the gsr fuel rail. When installing the injectors there was no room for the hard plastic heat insulators that go between the IM and the fuel rail. Do you guys think this would make a big difference in hot starting. I am been meaning to get the itr fuel rail but I had forgotten about it until now.

I can hear the relay and the fuel pump kick on for the first two seconds when I move the key to on. In fact that is how I get it started. I turn the car to on, wait for the fuel pump to turn off. I then turn the ignition back off, back to on, and it restarts ok.

u just solve ur own problem
u have to turn the key on and off to run the fuel pump first

sounds like ur loseing fuel pressure
check 4 fuel pressure, leak down pressure, and volume

I am trying to buy another distributor to give that a try. I am wondering if I am boiling the gas in the fuel rail or something.
