a/c installation??
Do you mean the actual control unit or hardware??
Lining up the control unit with its contol wires can be a big headache. the rest is cake, just find a lagit shop that will reboost your freon container. this is roughly $60.

It's not that hard to do.
I've done it before.
You will need:
A/C button
A/C wiring harness with relays
compressor
compressor bracket
A/C radiator fan
tubing
condensor
evaporator
filter/dryer (get that NEW)
filter/dryer bracket
firewall grommet
You should use all new o-rings.
Good time to convert o-rings to R134 spec if you were planning to.
Then go for a pressure test and a fill.
There are 2 different A/C compressors.
Make sure you get the tubing that hooks up to the compressor as well as the compressor bracket that matches the compressor you get.
Everything else is interchangable.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to open up the black box before you install it under the dash.mine was gunked up with cat hair and smokers tar... BLAH!

Odd. My 90 STD has air, even though when the compressor kicks on it sounds like it's going to explode. It's there though! Will I ever use it? No. But it's nice to know it exists.
