Default Is this block ok? how about the crank... (56k - no way)

I'm thinking about building my block. I got this block and it came with a messed up timing belt tenetioner threads stripped.

Anyway that was a while back, I want to see if this block is savlageable for building up.

I think thinking of using scat rods and ftr's pistsons.

Let me know what yall think about the pictures

i assume i should have the walls honed atleast? I'm about to go see if I can still see the hatch marks. btw whats wrong with the crank? I have a digital caliper if I need to take some readings with it.

Get the block honed or get your own dingle berry hone and do it yourself to clean it up. The crank doesn't have any big scraps on it. I would get it measured to see if it's still in specs. late

the block looks like a good hone could clean it up, the crank i would measured and see if it ok, then get it micro polished

Looks like a micropolish would fix the crank but you might find that rust a little deeper than surface rust. Might need a .5mm bore.
