compression ratios
hey, i'm new here so.. yeah, this is my first post. i'm building a 90 civic si w/ a b-series and i was looking for an opinion if 11.5:1 was too high for the street and for a 75shot of nitrous. i live basically right at sea level or below, and it doesn't get real hot here, but there not forged pistons. so i'm not to sure how it'll be. thanks

Anytime your gonna use FocedInduction or nitrous i think its best to go with a lower compression setup. Someone please correct me if im wrong cause i don't want to steer anyone in the wrong direction.
why are you rebuilding and not using high quality parts?
11.5 is fine for street driving n/a. i'd go a little lower for the nos though. 10.0 perhaps with the 75 shot? no personal experience with nos so you'll need another opinion to back that up...

11.5 CR is streetable. High compression and Nitrous are deadly combo. It would be nice to get forged pistons & rods. You would need to get a Hondata or ZDyne ECU. Also some dyno time with an experienced tuner. It is possible.

i'm rebuilding a ls/vtec w/pr3 pistons, and i already have a zex kit that i was planning to use, so too high eh? maybe i'll put gsr pistons in it.

dont use stock honda parts gsr piston are no stronger than pr3 pistons unless you just wanna use the gsr slugs to lower your compression but with that compression ratio i would recommend gas higher than 92 unless you want detonation.
