Default Turbo F22

Hey guys,

Heres the deal... i picked up a great condition 90 accord ex 5speed, after seeing my friends h22a accord perform i wanted to do something similar.

I want to do something different, i think i want to stick with the f22 that is in the car currently. Has anyone Turbo charged the f22? if so can you give me the list of parts and the best turbo suited for that motor. Now i have ridden in a few turbo hondas and i don't want mine to sound like theirs.. i want it to be smooth and i want to hear turbo not the wastegate. it probably sounds dumb but i am very picky.. i love this body accord and i dont want an h22a (4 exist in accords) in a 10 mile radius. Thanks

It's rare. I don't believe they make an actual kit for the f22 ( maybe that's just the prelude). You have to piece it together. Also, the low compression is a plus, but since you are starting off with such a low hp, you won't see very large gains. It is unique though

There are plenty of turbo kits for the f22. Drag, fmax, a few others I can't think of right now.

I think it was accordfreak that had a turbo on his f22 that was putting out around 260hp/280tq. I'd call that a pretty good gain from a motor with 145hp stock.

you should have an f22a, in which case, you should be able to use the "junkyard" approach. you can get your turbo manifold and other goodies from the good ole DSM 1g (believe this is the right gen) for really cheap. this would be a perfect starter set, in my opinion, but only if you are in to learn about how everything works. piecing it together will teach a lot of things...especially if you're doing the work yourself. if you simple want the powa go with one of the kits...and good luck

I'm not trying to argue but wouldn't most of these be for the F22A? They state F22 but also say 90-93 Accord. And since the F22A is what came in those cars wouldn't it mean it is for that engine?

yes they make ones for 4th gens (junkyard dsm approach is cheaper though) and ones for 5gens. you cant use a 4th gen mani on a 5th gen as the ports are different

For some odd reason, when I was looking for infos for turboing my F22b2, I find no info/query in here nor other forums. Now that I got my stuff together, ppl started popping out of the woodworks and asking similar stuff... I think I started a trend.

For complete kits:
http://www.dragturbokits.com/index.html
http://www.turbo-kits.com/accord_turbo_kits.html

For the F22 turbo manifold use in a custom setup with T3 flange. Post this b/c took me the longest to find, and hardest to find. I even found a place that sells the collector to connect the T3 flange to a T25 turbo instead. Let me know if you want that info as well. Charges $80 for that collector.

And I've posted some of this in other threads. So yes, "search" button is your best friend, and so is google.

Me either

Ok so there is 1 kit available that costs 2800 bucks . The biggest reason is for manifold placement

0 0 0 0 -----f22a
0 00 0 -----f22b

But I have gotten my dsm setup for 600 bucks:
t25
manifold
injectors
safc
IC
BOV

And IMO its the same one as the revhard kit .

I should've posted only facts. Any nonchalant comment invites the diss-a-licious ethugs to beat it to death.

$600 for all those dsm setup parts, sweet deal.
