Default junkyard turbo people i need your help

After doing some research i think im going to keep my f22 in my 95 accord for now and just turbo it. However, i think im going to go the junkyard turbo way but i have a few questions. First of all, when im looking for a turbo what kind of things should i look for physically? I mean how can i tell if its ready for a rebuild? Also what other parts should i look for there because obviously finding a manifold will be nearly impossible at a junkyard? I was thinking i could find a turbo(hopefully with a wastegate), intercooler (from like an old saab or volvo) and bov (if im lucky). Im basically lookin for some help from people that have successfully done a junkyard turbo. Thanks

PM VRdrvr. He's a couple days away from finishing his junkyard turbo. There will be a write up along with dyno sheets soon after he finishes.

second that, I had a 90 Eclipse

that 2 litre is the bomb diggity and very easy to work on...however Mitsu is gay in the fact that they force you to buy specialized tools (unless your dad is a clever engineer)

I've heard that you can also steal the manifold and everything from the 90-94's and bolt it up to the f22s, but don't quote me on that. Also man save yourself some hastle and look on ebay. You can find old Eclipse/Talon/Laser turbo setups VERY cheap.

Yes the manifold's will bolt up but you need to tap new holes for the actual bolts

just tap new holes on the manifold? hmm...do you happen to know the ballpark price range of a used talon manifold because that seems like it could be an even cheaper way to turbo...but there must be some reason other people dont use it, reliability maybe?

This is the exact manifold, if I'm not mistaken, that VRdrvr is using. PM him with any questions you might have.

hmm so is there any other car that has a manifold that would work? also i was thinking, would it be easier to just supercharge it from like an old thunderbird?

Nope, you can gank the turbo setup off an early 90's talon or eclipse. but as far as the mani goes you will have to do a custom setup, since you have an F22b
