There is no way to find out the badge number after there is no center plaque?

You could phone a dealer and they would be able to tell you who the original selling dealer of that car was as well as if it is indeed a Type R. As for the badge #, Acura does not keep those records so 'no dice'.

Search. There have been several posts on this topic that should yield more info that might be of help. However, no, you cant find out after-the-fact. You can try the original dealer tho - they might have recorded it.

LOL
Yes, I are huemon. This project has gotten pretty complex, I admit. Started as just a simple linking between badges/VINs and grew into notes/owners/dates/locations/histories of these caRs. It's amazing the information that's available in the HT archives if you're willing to do a little digging, including pics that are still hosted 5+ years later

FYI: This information is kept quite secure. I do not divulge sensitive info to just anyone. I'd like it if owners would let me know badges/VINs of their previous caRs that were stolen or wrecked since their security really doesn't matter anymore. Although a few clean R owners have registered their caRs with me already.

Now is the best time to gather this information since so many original/former owners are still part of the community. Imagine trying to find a badge # 20 years from now.....if that's important to someone.

LOL, if you PM me the serial number of your VIN I'll make a note of it and let you know if/when I come across something. Serial number would be a LOT easier to keep track of then "it was in Cali for awhile, then NC, then stolen in Jersey" For the OP here, I just happened to remember something about Vienna, VA and sure enough found a 97 in my list that was stolen there...and found stripped to the bone a few days later.
