Default tell me what you think of this setup

Well here's what i would have:

Infinity Kappa 6.5" components up front
Infinity Ref. (pfft i know) 6x9's in back
^ Powered by:
100watt<rms> x 4channel amp (kicker, mtx, or phoenix gold)

2 Alpine type-r 12" subs (4ohm)
^ Powered by:
a mono amp 800watt rms x 2ohm (so 400watt x 4 ohm)
dunno about brands yet, once again kicker, mtx, still looking.

anyways let me know what you think. I would like to stress extremely that none of this is purchased yet except the 6x9's, this is just an idea. Im not sure about box for the subs, but is this a "nice" setup? i mean for me i know it would but, and for you guys who have amazing stuff in your cars you probably dont think so, so if i got a "decent" out of you i'd be happy

lemme know if i should rethink brands, sizes, speakers, subs, etc please. thanks
btw all brands were chosen based off of Car Audio Discussion (forum) FAQ Good/Bad/Ugly brand list and first hand experience.

I am no expert, but it sounds like it would deliver some pretty nice tunes - fairly loud, but still being accurate. The Infinity's (front and back) are going to sound very nice, and the subs (IMHO you don't really need two, but that is just me) are nice.

For comparative purposes, I have a Pioneer Premier P730 HU; Infinity Reference components in front; Alpine Type R 6x9's in the back (heavily faded to the front), and one 10" Alpine Type R sub (sealed box) - pushed by a Rockford Fosgate 400a4 (interior speakers) and a RF 250a2 (bridged for the sub). This setup is plenty loud for me (and hits pretty good). Admittedly you will not hear the bass blocks away, it will not win any SPL contests, or SQ competitions, but for most people, this sounds pretty darn good (better than average). Your setup is along the same lines - not competition quality, but better than your average "low budget" system. IMHO you should be pretty happy with it.......since you are looking at two 12's, I am assuming that you are looking for more bass than I am. The Type R's are kind of a blend between sound quality and volume. If you are truly looking for loud bass, you may want to get something besides the Type R. Sure they are loud, but there are other subs that will be louder. However, the Type R's will "sound" a bit better than some of the louder subs. IMO they are a perfect mix, but it is up to you depending on what your ultimate goal is, and what you are looking for.

dont get rear speakers, put the money towards a better set of front components.
