Default Integra that won"t attempt to crank

My 96 ls integra will not turn over at all; i have checked the fuses no problem, the starter starts when I cross the two wires so its not the starter. I have been push starting it for a month and don't know what else to check. It doesn't click or anything. If you could direct me anyway, thanks

check you ground wire that goes from your transmission to the frame. I had the same problem. It might be just loose or you might need to just tighten it.

Check the ground wire for a good connection. Maybe sand down the ends a little so the surfaces contact better. Might sound weird, but it works.

Check battery with voltmeter. If it's around 10V get a new battery.

I cleaned up and tightened down the ground wire and still nothing. It would have been nice if that was it.

The process to diagnosing an electrical circuit is pretty hard to explain...If you are not a automotive techncian, i suggest you take it to reputable shop where can fix this problem for you. My guess is that if your car has an alarm, i think the alarm brain has something to do with it.

That sounds like the starter signal coming from the ignition switch. Pull off the small wire from the starter, check it with a voltmeter from that wire to ground. When someone turns the key to 'start' that wire should get battery voltage. If it does, then make sure the connection is tight. Otherwise I don't understand how it cranks when you jumper them.

If it doesn't get battery voltage, then you can check at the ignition switch. If the switch is OK, then the wire must be open somewhere in between...
