My recent fab: Lower radiator bracket for radiator conversion...
Well I didn't like the stock POS radiator bracket and wasn't thrilled about drilling out the welds so I decided it'd be real easy to make one. I used scrap I found around the shop. Should've taken no time at all but the shops a mess because its being moved around so it took forever to find ****.
Top View, welded in quadrants, next to it is the stock rubber piece. Notice the hole in the bottom to drain any water like the stock piece.
Side view, not only is their a hole but I put a taper down to the hole so the water is forced to run out instead of sit and rust.

Top View, you can see the bead I tried to weld around the lip to mate with the indent in the rubber piece. Apparently I didn't quite blast the coating that was on the pipe off completely so welding it was a b!@ch. I later sanded the outside so when I welded it to the plate I didn't have the same problems.

Because I used scraps, I couldn't find any stainless pipe the right size even though I have straight pipe for a tubular manifold, i had it at home not at work
so I welded stainless to steel using 309 rod, yeah ya.
Turned out pretty good for a quick fab. I was working on welding an aluminum adaptor bracket for the top mount. I'm not sure if the tungsten was contaminated or I used anodized aluminum (doh), but i'll find out tommorow. I couldn't get it to weld for the life of me.

I'm pretty proud of the fact I drilled and tapered the bottom lol. Wish I had a piece of stainless pipe when I did it but oh well no one will ever see it lol.
