I know Acetone (nail polish remover) will work on interior parts.

Thats a good one for metal items, it will melt plastic and eat a thin layer off the metal if you leave it on too long.

almost anything you use that will take off paint will also melt the plastic..i would suggest just painting it a better/different color or..like you already mentioned..getting a different dash..good luck

^^^ this is true DO NOT USE AIR CRAFT REMOVER. I would suggest using some virgin laquer thinner but use it sparingly it will discolor your dash making it look duller. After you use laquer thinner armorall it with the cler high gloss ****.

most of all have fun

Yes, Acetone, Alcohol, and the like would be a poor choice, especially in the long run. That stuff will EAT your vinyl.

Painting over it may be the best bet.

Aircraft remover is the best. I like how you spray it, come back in 15 min and the paint is blistered. hit it with a h2o hose and that's it. Nothing will be better than a new dash. What color is the dash? oh yeah aircraft remover is for metal only.

just paint it over with stock color.. or get a replacement part... trying to strip paint off is really hard it will kill quality....
