What factory Honda AM/FM/CD-player stereo is a direct install in a 91 Civic with no modifications to the Civic's 16-pin radio harness? I think the 94-97 Integra is, but I want to be sure and maybe an Accord model that is compatible? I would like to have the radio have Honda on it as opposed to Acura.

 

Well, I don't have a double din space for my radio, so I am looking for a regular shaped radio, but that looks nice in the CRX. So, what is the best looking radio (standard size) to fit with the harness? A 90-93 Accord will work or a 90-97 Integra? I was told that 98+ Integras have a plug that looks the same, but won't work with older radios. I just need to know which one to buy on ebay that will work cause I hate to throw money away.

I'm pretty sure that any 88-00 Honda has the same stereo harness. I do have 94 del sol radio in my 88 crx and it plugged right in no wiring work at all. One thing you can do is go to a store that has stereo adaptor harness's and check the one for your car and see what other Hondas that it works with.

 

i have a ITR cd player in my crx. plugged right in and works.


i also have an EG tape and optional CD player that plugs in too.
