auto ls
Does anyone here actually make use of D1 and D2 if you have an auto teg? I drop to D3 when I need to go uphill fast or speed up or maybe when I have to restrict my speed going downhill. Anyone ever find a use for D1 or D2?
If you do neutral drops on an auto or manually shift to race in an auto, you need not reply.

i use to have an auto ls 95 couple bolt ons. i use to use d1 d2 for take offs, on runs and down shift to d2 to pick speed while on d3 around 25 to 40mph.
it actually was impressive on runs that others didnt belive it was a AT
but eventaully i destroyed the tranny it took about a good year though
trust me i put a woop on on eclipses (noN T) gsr stock tangs v6 camaro v6
i got shift happy, now i got 99 ls and a 96 gsr , the 99 does not come close to the 95 AT ,to my suprise.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im going to get a lighter fly wheel and a stage 1 clutch to see if get the reponse i want .

When my car was an automatic......I rarely ever used D1. I don't even remember the reasons I ever had the shift lever there.
On some occasions I used D2 when I was stuck in the snow. It wouldn't spin the tires initially too fast. That way I could ease out of a "stuck in the snow" situation a bit easier.
Other than that....D4 all the time.

I drive an auto LS Integra right now, i rarely use D1, not even D2. sometimes when i need to id use D3... but since im getting a 5 speed conversion soon, none of that pretty much matters anymore.
