Default Automatic LS

I have a 95 Civic ex 5speed and i have been looking at a 95 ls auto for sale. My question is how much slower is the auto ls going to be? Or will it be faster? Anyone with an auto ls post their thoughts on the car?

DONT! It makes a WORLD of difference. Find a m/t ls at least. LS's arent fast stock and with an auto....oooh no.

ya i have an auto ls its not fast at all. ive haven ben thinken about replacing the whole tranny. but now im just gunna replace the bans. the only advantage i could see in the auto is there are 4 gears so you will have less to shift and u can keep your boost if u go turbo.

They're called BANDS not bans...ALL honda automatics DO NOT USE BANDS.
THEY USE CLUTCH PACKS. There are no adjustments for clutch packs! If you drive your auto tranny hard alot I suggest changing out the fluid once a year.

I have a automatic ls with a chipped ecu and intake.. its pretty quick for an automatic i would say.. I ran a 16.1 all day at the drag strip and 15.7 once with my stock wheels..

I'm going turbo!

i know a guy with a automatic supra. and i bet he can smoke most of the 1.8 liters in this board, if not all.

if you want somthing fast, get a car that was ment to be fast. not a gas saver. you can bolt on everything you want, but if you dont have at least 5 g's, u will still be hitting 15 seconds all day.

just so you know, just cause you have a timeslip doesnt prove you did it in that car your speaking of, or if it was even you. not sayings its not possible, but some people would want more evidence

Well to answer the original post, A LS auto is faster than the 5spd Civic EX you have. YES we all know the LS 5spd is faster so if you want more out of the Integra get the 5spd. I have a LS auto and know my limitations with it. Unless you want to get some money together for a Level 10 tranny get a 5spd teg. There is noting wrong with an automatic integra as I have smoked many 5spd non-vtec tegs. My only mods are short ram, 9mm sparco tripple core wires and meticulious maintence. I have also lost to many 5spd tegs.

Turbo automatic on the teg sucks.

Save yourself time and trouble and just get the MT. You will be MUCH MUCH happier.

I speak from experience,

If my dad gave me the title I would, but I'm 19 and I'm still goin' to college livin' with them so save some $$, as soon as I get the teg off their hands I will get the 5speed swap!!!

Get the title, sell the car and get one with a manual trans.

If you can't do that, save a couple grand (more like three) becuase you are going to need it for the tranny swap.

MAKE YOUR PLANS NOW, before you buy one piece.

Thanks, I was also thinking 2 door GSR or 4 door GSR gutted, of course i'm gonna get an integra 5speed. I will not settle for anything less then an Acura, If I had the $ I'd buy a type R, RSX S, or an NSX. Acura makes quality cars or should I say Honda? lol

i have i/h/e and a level10 torque converter, it runs a 15.7-15.8 i have references that can back me up on my tranny being strong for an auto, although id like a 5th gear im getting a tranny swap in march-april so i will be ditching the auto tranny cus yes it blows, speaking from experience.

BAD ANALOGY dumb ****. Automatic supra's are faster than manual supra's, they have build automatic transmissions.

Auto integra's are not "that" slow, with just intake and exhaust i can tie a manual integra (but i dont know if he's that good of a driver). Also an auto integra will beat any standard civic (except si) even if the civic has bolt ons. But if u already have a civic ex why don't u just buy an ls engine swap?.
