answer = no unless they are frm compliant which the chances are probably no also only ones that i know of that are compatible with stock sleeves are oem your options are jdm h22 or type s pistons. im on the same boat you are only i might hop on the type s or wait until someone actually comes out with a line of frm compatible pistons. do a search you'll find TONS of info about why h22 cant go with aftermarket pistons without sleeving. the forged pistons scratch up the cylinder walls.

and as long as its tuned im sure you can run pump gas but i wouldnt settle for the cheaper stuff.

I think he ment what brand pistons are they. You must sleeve it to run forged pistons. I think you can run Jun pistons on stock sleeves though.

OK first of all, what block exactly are you using? Thats the only way to tell what pistons are in there. If its a red top its 11:1. And no the Stock FRM sleeves cant work with forged pistons. Some say though if you use the wiseco pistons that are specially made with 4032 alloy, and also get it coated by them with PC9 coating like the supposidly the JUN ones are It in theory should work. But so far no one has ever tried this specific piston. The JUN ones seem to work as member JUNBB1s lude has been running with them for a couple of years but those bitches are like a G and some change just for the pistons.

ranta i believe they have tried the wiseco pistons already but somewhere down the line it DID tear up his cylinder wallsas far as the JUN's not enough demand for it so noone yet knows

When they tried it though, i remember it was the wrong type of alloy metal and it wasnt coated with the PC9 coating.

Well from what i have heard is if the pistons are made from specially 4032 alloy and coated with PC9, it "Supposedly" Should be friendly for our FRM sleeves.

This is what I'm asking.... He said he has 12:1 pistons on the way. WHAT BRAND? He has NOT said which 12:1 pistons he is using. After he does that, we can say whether or not the block needs to be sleeved.

I doubt he'd have that specific wiseco piston that is coated with that PC9 coating i was talking about, and made from 4032 alloy.

the guy with the boosted cl is running the wiseco pistons for over 20000 miles and its still running strong. 15psi daily. I had just emailed him about this last week i believe. I remember seeing another guy with wiseco pistons saying they didnt work but he used synthetic off the batt and the gaping (cant think of whats its called right now im about to fall assleep) was off. (i dunno some **** like that i havnt looked into this for awhile haha)
