Default noob question about exhaust

whats the name of the pipe that connects the header to the catback

if im replacing the headers and the catback with aftermarket is it wise to replace that pipe as well? or is it wide enough to benefit the aftermarket parts

thanks

well first of all, you only have one header. second, the part that connects to the (cat)back exhaust would be the catalytic converter.
it would be a good idea to get a hi flow cat or a test pipe, but it might give the exhaust a raspy kind of buzzing noise

Depending what state you live in a test pipe would prevent your car from passing inspection.
