Default boosted civic running lean >_<

I have this issue with my car running lean under VTEC at WOT. I'm currently running 6 psi of boost on a stock D16z motor with B16 (240cc) injectors and a APEXi VAFC II. I've been able to use the VAFC to keep the mixture running optimal at narrow throttle under VTEC, but durring WOT the mix just goes lean. In both instances, I keep getting a Map Sensor code thrown at me which puts the check engine llight on and the car into "limp mode".

needless to say I want to fix this issue, and I already have a 255lph high pressure fuel pump going in tomrrow. I hope this will fix the lean issue. But I am wondering if it might be the ECU not being able to respond properly to the intake manifold pressure sensor registering positive pressure. Should I invest in an aftermarket ECU as well, and if so, what are some good routes to pursue?

B16 injectors are the same as ANY SOHC injectors just to let you know. that was not an upgrade.

Usually when people try the VAFC hack...they have min. 440cc injectors. Some people use DSM injectors (450cc) w/ a resistor box and an INLINE fuel pump, some use intank too.

You get the MAP sensor check light because you do NOT HAVE A MISSING LINK i am guessing. When<U> honda cars see "boost" or a rise in pressure past zero it automatically gives the code and puts the car in limp mode.</U>

The leaning out is probably the injectors GETTING MAXED OUT. That is not a good thing. ECU is probably running correctly.

Seeing your post count, your a noob to boost and cars i guess. Turbo is not something you can just slap on and say yeah im fast now. it cost money and time. Do some research before you post...others will just flame you to death.

okay...so....just to clarify some things. I know that replacing my stock injecotrs with the B16 ones wasn't much of an upgrade, but I knwo the injectors are important to fuel and I thought providing any relavent info to that regard would help. and no, I don't think my car is fast. But I want it to be someday, that's why I'm trying to ask help from people who have way more experience in this than I.

that being said. with regards to this missing link you mentioned. what is it <U>exactly</U>?

missing link is a mechanical valve that bypasses air before the MAP sensors sees it.

d series and B series injecors are the same 240cc. you need a 440 cc minimum
