Will this IM make power? (stock B20z w/ powa chamber)
Im looking to use the stock LS ecu so rev limit stays at 7000. Anyone w/ experience w/ this manifold? Seems honda wouldn't waste money on that chamber unless it did something...
its for midrange power.....the giraffe manifold on the b20's are a lot "higher/taller" in design then the b16/b18's, because they are in an suv. this manifold will hit the hood on any car other then the crv.
edit: talking about the b20b intake manifold....guess this one is like an ls....

Don't you hate when people disseminate wrong information as if they had first hand experience? This manifold is different than the giraffe one you are referring to (b20b manifold). This manifold (b20z) will clear a ek hood for sure, and probably an EG hood as well. Ive seen it done.

"probably" but you've seen it done? still didn't answer his question..

Your not gonna make any extra power w/ this manifold. Its pretty much an exact copy of a LS mani,so only thing better would be a Skunk2 or other aftermarkets.good luck.

rofl.. i was donellin' ****.. my fault, uhm.. how is it even connected to the manifold? it looks like a normal manifold underneath.

No first hand 411, just reading..... Yes, the power chamber was supposed to be for midrange power, and it is connected to the top of the manifold. There is a hole in the top of the manifold. According to long debates and comparisons I have read, the manifold is more or less an LS manifold. You "should" be fine fitting this in just about anything that will take an LS. You may have issues with strut bars, etc... But I am sure there is a work around. I for one would like to see what this manifold would do compared to a stock LS, then try to port it to a larger TB to see what kind of gains you get. Just curious.

From what i've been reading about it for a couple of years now,the B20z i/m is the same as an LS,save for some different sensors and what not.
I'm sure you seen this site but there is a lot of info on the B20s

yeah Ive read that website many times over. Thanks for the replies, I guess if its otherwise identical to the LS manifold, Ill keep it. once I get some kind of results I will post it up. Im also worried about the strutbar issue.
Also, the B20 intake manifold comes with different injectors. They look completely unlike any other B-series injectors that I have seen. I am not sure if they flow more, though.

where do you see the injectors in the picture? i see the top of the plug. silvercivic96, do you have the manifold and injectors? try it out.

I don't see the injectors in the picture, either. But I have the injectors laying around somewhere.
