Default quick help! front brake problem need help asap.

93 civic Si, non ABS

Ok, problem is the pass side wheel is rubbing against the caliper, where there should be about 1/4" clearance .. I just did the front pads and machined the rotors, everything is in spec as far as those parts go (within service limits for the rotors, not warped) .. driver's side is fine. Any ideas on why the wheel would hit the caliper? Thanks!

you sure you put the caliper back on right, id check to make sure you did. if it still rubs then you can always grind some where the caliper is near hitting.

i'm pretty sure it's on right, everything it torqued to spec and lined up, pads are seated, rotor is within spec .. doesn't make sense, both sides are exactly the same

I thought of grinding, but the driver's side has about 1/4" clearance, so there has to be something wrong here .. but there's only 4 bolts I removed (2- 17mm caliper bracket, 2 - 12mm caliper bolts) .. gaa!

Thanks for the reply, keep em comin!

fixed!

I am using the oem steelies .. turns out my dad bought the fronts from a wrecker, one was the wrong offset .. so with the thicker pads there was zero clearance between the wheel and caliper.

Thanks again for your help!

yeah thats what i was shooting for was the wrong offset. thats why i asked which wheels, cause sometimes aftermarket sompanies accidentally send you the wrong wheel, lol. good luck wit her now.
