MPFI/Mini-Me Help!!!!
First off, to those who've reponded to previous posts, thanks for helping this ignorant "newbie" along. The only problem now it that I've received sooo much information in bits and peices that it's been difficult to string it all together. In some ways, I'm more confused now that before.
What I'm hoping it that someone else out there in H-T land has done a swap similar to what I'm proposing and has the courtsey and patience to help me along so that I can hopefully get all the info from one source. Here goes....
PROJECT: 1991 Honda CRX-Dx w/ 92-hp D15B2 & 5-spd (eng stock except for K&N Filter in OEM air box)
PLANNED MOD: Convert from dual to MPFI; Mini-me D16Y VTEC head to 1.5L block
QUESTION #1: Currently available are a VTEC Head from '97 Civic (assume this to be a D16Y8 though seller is unsure) and a complete intake set-up (less injectors) from a '88 CRX Si. So, are these two major components compatable?
QUESTION #2: What other SPECIFIC goodies are needed (ie ECU, distributor, injector resistor, etc.)?
QUESTION #3: Anyone out there with the experience and enough patience to work me though the needed parts list in detail?

yes, the head will bolt on the the d15b, block without the problem, use a 92-5 gasket or 96-00 gasket, as far as the Si intake yes it will bolt on the D16y8 head, but best to use the 96+ but some improvising will be required.
2.
Yes a Pm6/PG7/PM7 ecu from 88-91 MPFI cars will be required, as well as 88-91 Si distributor, as well as Si injectors and resisotor pack also external vtec switch will be required
first look on doing the the MPFI conversion (look for DX to ZC on hybrid), then look for mini-me stups involving the d16 block, the rest is the same
