I have a 98 Integra RS and i bought a strut bar today and i found out that i do not have bolts on my car chassis to install the strut bar. Is this only on RS integras?? Because the strut bar doesnt come with bolts for the installing, all that is in the spot to install the strut is rubber pieces plugging the hole. Is it just the RS that do not have bolts and where would i go about getting the bolts to fit?? Thanks!

 

u must use the nuts that are already on your car that hold the top of ur struts in

 

integras dont fit like that though I THINK. They dont use the strut bolts because the strut bar installs on the chassis not the strut/bolts?? Unless im misunderstanding your answer.

 

My strut bar bolts to my strut towers using the factory nuts just like the stock one on gsr's and type r's didnt know there was any other way you might got the wrong bar for your car. 00 gsr btw and its the same for all 94-00 tegs

 

Here's a pic of how its suppose to be installed. Cusco Strut Bar. It bolts the the chassis not the strut. Anyone know where i can get these bolts?? Are these bolts only not on RS's?

 

yea those are there on my gsr too sorry Never seen one bolt like that before. Im sure u can get them from acura

yea those bolts are where the stock strut bar bolts up on gsr's and type r's youll have to get the bolts and nuts from acura sorry I was confused. U didnt have them because rs's didnt come w/ front factory bar. Ill trade u mine for that one if interested

 

trade?? Thats ok. I just bought my cusco strut bar today. I think i can go to home depo and buy some washers, bolts, and nuts for that strut to fit. What kind of strut bar do you have??

acura doesn't sell the studs. The come welded on from the factory. They told me to just pick up some washers, nuts and bolts and that should work fine!

 

i installed my itr strut on my LS last week...i used M8x1.25x30mm flange bolts with a M8 flange washer. No lock washer needed
