Trying to get my DA to handle like my crx. Need input please!
My cars are built for an all around good time including daily street driving, lots of open track days and the occasional trip to the drag strip. My past setup was a 91 crx si with a 1.8/lsd tranny and some goodies. I threw an hf front sway with a st rear sway with just a upper rear tie bar. It was on omni power coilovers setup for an itr. The brakes were just hawk pads with powerslot rotors, 91 ex master cyl, and stainless lines. On R compounds i was able to follow the lines that i'd aim for. There was a hint of understeer but i think further tire pressure tuning would of taken care of that. So after many track days and getting the car where i wanted it..... i lost my beloved crx in a blink of an eye.

Some drunk ******* plows into the back of my car at about 40mph or so. His ford taurus was a tank because he just backed up and took off. My buddy and i were knocked out for a good 10 seconds or so. We got the plates and the cops are still trying to find him. They found his car but cant find the guy himself. He's got multiple warrants and crap like that.
Well anyhow..... i went out and bought a 92 integra RS. I'm so loving the way this car rotates but i havent even taken it out to the track yet. Do you guys have a suggested rear sway bar setup? Is a big progress one too much? Also what do you guys suggest for brakes? Does anyone have some proven suspension setups/settings for this chasis? This week when my back starts feeling better im going to start interchanging parts from the crx to the teg. Any suggestions would be well appreciated. Thanks!!!

Sorry to hear about your crx man. I hope they lock that guy up for a long time. I dont really have much to add about your question but a while back I saw a DA autocrossing and that thing was flying! I hope you have as much fun with your new car as you did with the old one. Good luck man!

A well setup Integra can handle as good or better than a CRX. Trust me I know.

How can a heavier car with a longer wheelbase and the same suspension design handle just as good as its smaller and lighter counterpart?
The Integra has the benefit of a larger motor, if you're running in the same class.
Otherwise, with the motors/tires/suspension being equal, the CRX will always be a better handling car just due to the physics of it.

Ok, thanks for nothing there. I need a backseat and thats the reason i bought this integra.

The Progress bar is great, but it can interfere with an aftermarket exhaust because of the way it mounts. Instead of having the endlinks at the stock location, the Progress bar mounts new ones to the shock mount on the LCA. You also have to mount it to the rear subframe, which requires some pretty precise drilling and extensive reinforcment.
I'm quite sure the Progress won't fit with my HKS Hiper exhaust
I have a Suspension Techniques 19mm and I'm pretty happy with it. It fits like stock, and although it's not 22mm, I feel it makes the car rotate quite a bit better than the stock piece.

The set up I currently have on my 91 LS works well for me. I have OTS Koni Yellows with Neuspeed Race springs (500fr/450r) with the fronts on the middle perch and the rears on the top perch. Suspension Techniques rear sway bar. I had the front on for one Auto-X event and hated it so much I put the stock one back on; I have Falken Azenis 205/50R15 on Work RS Competitons (I love them!!) For brakes I have Brembo slotted rotors, Hawk HPS pads, Goodridge SS lines, and Motul RBF600 in the stock MC and PV. For Auto-X and daily driving these pads work great tho they do dust a good bit and will make a little noise when barely pressing the brakes which is of no concern to me as my car isn't attractive by any means, I just want my car to perform well.
I'm planning on trying the Progress rear bar as well as some revalved Koni's with custom rate GC's. I would also strongly recommend the Energy Suspension master kit.
I currently don't have this because I don't care about the idea of installing it myself.
Sorry if that was a bit of a jumble, but that's my current set-up. Everyone feels different about what they like as far as spring rates. Some can tolerate more than others. I personally wouldn't want anything higher than 550 on my car as I drive it everyday but I guess to each their own. HTH.

Get the biggest swaybar you can afford and live with, Our long wheelbase needs lots of oversteer to run fast.
