a/c may need a recharge if you have a/c. Mine needs a recharge so it only blows in the air from outside.

look and see if the arm on the coolant shut off valve to the heater core is closing.. the cable could have slipped, and its still open all the time..

or just to diagnose it.. you could pinch off each coolant hoses into the heater core, and see if its still blowing hot air. (no more hot water going into the heater core)

go to a shop and check for AC leak. recharge if possible. but for true racer, leave the AC out. Weight reduction is always a good thing. don't bother with AC. Never use mine.

I had the same problem when I bought my 94 coupe a couple months ago. I took it to a shop & they wanted $70 to look for a problem plus whatever else it would cost to fix it. One shop even told me that I needed a whole new a/c system.

It ended up being the cable that is hooked to the heat/cold controller inside my car has been "stretched" out. I have to reach under the dash & switch it myself. I was relieved when my husband showed me that--now I'm thankful that I dont have to ride in a sauna when its raining or pay a high price for a "new" a/c system that I dont need........yes I know my A/C needs charged, but I dont have the extra $$$ for it.

Good Luck

Hey moron, do you have air conditioning? If not, did you break your temp. indicator lever when you were thrashing around in a 10-second-run-victory-dance? With NAWZZ? What do you mean your heater core "isn't connected"? And how is it that you think the manufacturer of your hood has anything to do with the air coming into your vents?

If I solved your problem, or even made it more difficult, I fully expect you to let me **** your mom.

dumb **** so suck on ur moms baby *****

thanxs to everyone else who tried to help, and the reason i think it migght be my hood is cause it gets really hot and my whole engine bay gets hheat soaked i cant even put my hand on anything inside the egine bay. i disconnected the heater core because when i searched many people said that i could be the valve so if i dont have fluid going thru it then the valve should not even be an issue but air still comes out really hot .

Dude what the hell was that all about? your such an ***

First off im sure what he did was disconnect the heater lines and got a U shaped piece of pipe from the hardware store and looped the lines togther. or better yet just put a valve in there so he could just shut it off manually when he needed too. i did that once with an old pos car i had with a popped heater core cause i dident have the time to change it out nor the money so i made due with what i had. Ahhh yes No heat in a cold *** winter. I LOVE WISCONSIN! (sarcasim)
