noob question about vafc????
do you need to get a fpr when you have a vfac? or do you need both for maximum tune?? does vafc adjust fuel?
I also would like to know what is the difference between vfac 1 and 2.

yes ideally you would get an FPR with it, so you can tune the fuel better. Thing is with the VAFC, they suck at adding fuel, but are good at leaning things out. so basically you want an FPR to add fuel, then lean out with the VAFC and your golden.
the vafc 2 has more features, and has more adjustment points so you can more finely tune your ****. but the vafc 1 is more than adequate enough for a basic motor with bolt ons and what not.

sounds good.. anyone else think vfac 1 and 2 are different in anyway??
.. so no matter what i need a fpr with it.. still deciding which vfac is good for me.. leaning more towards 1 version 1 cause of the price and is better looking imo.
how much should i expect to pay for a used one?

For cheaper then the cost of a vafc you could get a ecu socketed and prepared to accept custom eeproms that you can make with uberdata or crome. But you do the math.
.
.
i got a socketed ecu.. itr all motor program.. but my motor is not itr..
can you enlighten me about underbeta etc.. i no nothing about certain stuff..
how much cheaper will it cost.

most of the time a chip is a guess on ur setup and are not very acurate and most chips u buy are just to set the vtec for a lower rpm which not always improves on power
and usally ment for a higher rev limit or no rev limit at all with a vafc u can get on a dyno and a tunner can tell when to add or remove fuel and set ur vtec at the right point of engagement

A chipped ECU is not a replacement for a VAFC. Yes it changes fuel but you need a VAFC and FPR to tune it to be where it NEEDS to be. A chip isn't gonna set your fuel where it needs to be. Also, w/o a VAFC how are you gonna set your VTEC cross-over for maximum power? So yes, you still need a VAFC and FPR to tune it correctly!
