EF6, EK9?

Default EG6, EK9?

anyone know what the numbers mean at the end of chassis codes? (ex. eg6, ek9,)
also, are there numbers for ef's?

EAW = Civic CRX 84-87
EF = CRX, Civics 88-91
EG = Civic Hatch 92-96
EJ = Civic Sedan/Coupe 92-96
EK = Civics 97-00
DA = Teg 90=93
DC = Teg 94-00

I think those are all right...Ferget wut the Sol is tho

The Numbers after them EF-8 EF-9 Designate body style & or engine/trim

EF8= CRX SIR
EF9= Civic SIR
EF2,3,4,5= Civic 4 Door/Civic 2 Door
theres others but im a lazy *** to look them up...
EK9 is CTR

thats all weird i have an 89 CRX and the vin plate says ED8 not EF
and then i know someone with a 2000 HB and it says EJ instead of EK

odddddddddd

the above Codes are for JDM cars...USDM and EDM cars are slightly different...

ED8 is a CRXsi
ED4 is Civic EX
etc etc

EF - JAP 88-91 Civic CRX
EE - Euro 88-91 Civic CRX

EK - Jap 96+ Civic
EJ - US 96+ Civic

EG - Jap 92-95 Civic
EH - US 92-95 Civic

The sub number says what model the car is ( ie: sedan coupe hatch )

btw if you look at your vin# youll notice the 4th-6th digit's are the chassis code.
and the first 3 indicate where the car was made[2HG canada,1HG ohio,JHM japan]
