I just got a 98 Accord LX a couple days ago and when ever i disarm the alarm it arms its self after a few minutes. How do i turn this self arming off? Its a stock alarm.

its probably on a different mode....i think its called passive mode...there are basically two modes...1. you can arm the alarm yourself anytime, or 2. the alarm will arm itself after you disarm it and not open the door....i forget how to switch modes but it involves putting the key in and out of the ignition a couple times....you may want to do a search first...hope this helps.
