ALARM QUESTION
OK i just had an alarm installed in my accord
. this alarm has the self arming feature in case you for get to arm the alarm.
for example: i get home from the store & i have my hands full of stuff & i can get to my key fob. 30 seconds after i close my doors the alarm locks the doors & arms it self. this is a great feature.
So im wondering if I disarm my alarm & pop my trunk the alarm should not arm its self till I have closed my trunk & wait 30 seconds, am i correct ?
would i have to install a hood pin in my trunk ???
THIS IS THE ALARM I HAVE:

Why not test it out? I have two friends with different alarms where one would auto-arm even if a door was still open or partially opened and the siren would go off while my other friend's alarm would not auto-arm until everything was closed.
Well i know if i try to arm the alarm while one of my doors are open it will beep 3 times signaling me that a door is open.
but i was at the grocery yesterday & i disarmed the alarm b4 i opened my trunk so the alarm didnt go off but as i was loading the bags in my trunk the alamr armed itself.
What i wondering is should my alarm arm its self 30 seconds after my trunk closes ?

Ok i guess there is a factory trunk pin in the trunk because when i open my trunk, the trunk light comes on.
so do i have to tap that into my factory door pin for this to work ?

</TD></TR></TABLE> Just like my shop, hood pins and trunk triggers are EXTRA to install, a basic install includes the brain, whatever sen. it comes with, [impact, motion, glass, radar] the door trigger, the siren, the LED and override/ program switch, we have a kind of checklist to see what the customer wantsand where they want them installed, like placement of the LED and override switch, but there are a lot of things that evan an entry level alarm can do, you can spend $500+ on install alone, my Q to the shop that installed it would be " why would you not ask if I wanted hood and trunk if the are not included in the basic install

Well when i bought my car it had an alarm, but the dealer didnt have the remotes,
so i had to have it removed & the shop charged $45 plus tax to remove it, they waived that fee for me because i kinda know them. The basic alarm with instalation was $149.00 which didnt include the starter kill or keless remotes. They add thoes options for free. which would have been an extra $60.00
So for basically if i didnt know them, it would have coste me $266.00 which includes tax.
I only paid $157.00 for everything, im pretty sure they will hook up my trunk for free.
I just needed some facts.
