Hey my 93 ex squeals on start-up and continues for a minute or two, it also squeals when downshifting...sounds like a belt, friends say it could be the clutch..someone please help me with anything you think this could be, much appreaciated.

 

check your alternator belt, it may need tighten up

Sounds like it could be the alt. belt.

Does anyone know about the soap on the squeaky belt trick?
