When I did my A2 to A swap, it was doing this, but it was from 700 to 1500. I was using the A2 throttle body so I could keep cruise control .. oh how I miss it!! Anyways, the IAT was damaged, switched back to the A throttle body and everything was fine. If you have a Helms manual, it describes how to test it out. Also, are all of the sensors/vacuum lines attached? That will cause this also.

Reset the ECU. Mine does this occasionally. After the passing of the typhoon a few days ago, yesterday when I eventually drove the car again, it did this. Today at work, I disconnected the ECUs wiring harnesses for about 4 hours and at lunch, I plugged everything back in and all was back to normal. Previously, Honda reset my ECU with their plug-in device. Not sure what is causing it. The last time mine did this was also after a heavy heavy rain storm!!! ODD actually, don't know how that can be the cause. Also in the past, I have taken off the TB and cleaned it really well, reset the IAT, by loosening the screws and repositioning it. Try resetting the ECU and see what happens. Good luck with it, I know it is quite annoying. Yesterday in traffic I was just shutting the car off at red lights. Car revving up and down when at idle. I am just glad that my stock manifold and exhaust are back on at the moment or people would think I was an ******* behind the wheel trying to get them to move out of my way by constantly revving at them while at the red light!

sounds like there's a vacuum leak somewhere in the intake...

i had this problem on my 93 Si Hatch, it idled wierd even when i first started it, and it turned out that it was the Idle Control Valve or something like that. It was all corroded cause i sucked up water with the intake.

i unplugged the IAT sensor, but no difference, i cked the IAT valve and it has all oil in it YIKES, so going to try to clean it out and if not, get one off of an rsx or si if it fits. doing valve springs now, looks hot. if anyone wants to purchase ITR stock valve springs, PM me.

thx
